Jumpsend vs Feedbackwhiz: Your Complete Guide to Choosing the Right One
So, you’re an Amazon seller who’s looking to get an edge over your competition and you’ve heard of Jumpsend and Feedbackwhiz.
You’re now wondering what the hell these services are and how they can help you with your Amazon business.
If so, you’ve come to the right place!
By the end of this article, you’ll know exactly what these services do and how they can help you achieve your Amazon goals in 2021.
Let’s dive in!
What are Amazon Seller Tools, Anyway?
Before we get started, it’s probably a good idea to define what Amazon seller tools are in the first place.
If you know what they are (because you use a gazillion of them already) feel free to skip to the next section.
But if not, listen up! 🙂
Amazon seller tools are basically any software that makes your job of selling on Amazon, easier.
You already know how difficult selling on Amazon is, right?
From sourcing the right product, taking the perfect pictures, and ranking on page 1…
Amazon sellers have it tough!
And that’s where seller tools come in to save the day.
Cape flapping, fists flying, and ready to deliver justice to the evil Amazon Algorithm…
Okay, I went a little overboard there, but you get the idea!
Whether it’s automating your emails, tracking your keywords, or alerting you of a bad review, there’s an Amazon tool for everyone (awwww!).
And if you’re not using an Amazon tool now, I guarantee there’s one in your future!
What is Feedbackwhiz?
Yep, you guessed it.
Feedback Whiz is an… Drum roll, please… Amazon tool!
And since we’re playing this game, can you guess what this tool does?
Here’s a hint.
It’s in the name…
Say your answer in:
WRONG! (sorry, for totally leading you on there 🙂 )
Feedbackwhiz is an Amazon Tool that does so much more than what its name implies.
While it can help you with your feedback (so you’re half right), it can also help you with more of your Amazon needs.
Let’s take a closer look!
Automated Email Campaigns Make Communicating with Your Customers Easy
When Feedbackwhiz first burst onto the scene, everyone was raving about their email automation.
It allowed you to send timely emails to your customers based on actions they were taking in, REAL TIME.
A customer’s item shipped – you could send them an email for that.
Their product just got delivered – you could send them an email for that.
They just left you a one-star review – you could send them an email for that.
The latter was a great way of diverting negative reviews away from your product listings with stellar customer service that immediately resolved your customer’s issue.
The keyword is immediately…
Thanks to Feedbackwhiz’s connection with Amazon’s API, it really allowed you to create special real-time relationships with your customers.
And this all changed when the Fire Nation attacked – I mean Amazon changed…
Piece by piece they reduced the functionality of their messaging API which meant Feedbackwhiz couldn’t offer nearly as many real-time touchpoints as it did before.
And recently, Amazon limited how third-party services, like Feedbackwhiz, could communicate with its sellers regarding reviews.
For a lot of sellers this was the nail in the coffin for Feedbackwhiz’s awesome email automation but, Feedbackwhiz did fight back!
Their email service now allows you to send review emails that follow Amazon’s Communications Guideline requirements.
You can still do some pretty cool things with this like sending email based on specific orders, repeat customers and time zones.
These emails are still handy in the right hands and help you with offering the best customer service possible (which, I guess, does help with your feedback, after all!)
Order Management to Help You Keep Track of All Your Orders
So, you’re well under way with your Amazon business.
Orders are coming in and your positive reviews are stacking up.
But there’s a problem.
You’re getting so many orders that it’s hard to keep up!
While some will say that this is a good problem to have, it can very quickly turn bad if your customer experience suffers as a result.
That’s where Feedbackwhiz’s Order Management feature steps in to help.
Allowing you to see up to 500 orders on your screen at once, Feedbackwhiz makes your job of managing orders easier.
“500 orders on my screen, eh?”
“How is this any different from seeing my orders on Seller Central?” …
“Now I’m just able to see more orders that I’m not managing well!”
All valid points.
You see, the trick is in Feedbackwhiz’s advanced filters.
You can use them to track vital information like order status, email stats, feedback information, and more.
It basically allows you to go deep with your order data without needing to deal with spreadsheets – something that the Amazon dashboard doesn’t offer you.
Keep on Top of Your Financials with Data Analytics and Accounting Tools
In the spirit of staying away from spreadsheets, let’s talk about Feedbackwhiz’s data analytics.
Feedbackwhiz automatically crunches your Amazon financials for you and displays them in visually appealing, easy-to-understand colourful graphs and charts.
This is great news for 99% of Amazon sellers who can think of nothing worse than spending a Friday evening crunching through their Business Reports!
Feedbackwhiz takes this convenience a step further, and offers you accounting services in the form of their automated accounting tool.
This tool breaks down your profit & loss, sales, taxes, promotions, seller fees and more into a simple to read display right in your dashboard.
And while I wouldn’t go firing your accountant just yet, this tool might stop you from having to bother them every other day, asking what an accounts receivable is!
Keep Hijackers Away with 24/7 Account Monitoring
This word is enough to send shivers down the spine of the most experienced Amazon seller.
And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, let me explain.
Imagine spending months on your Amazon listing…
You’ve FINALLY got the right product after months of searching, got your photography just right, and ranked on page 1 after months of competition.
Sales are starting to roll in and you’re feeling good…
One morning you wake up from restful sleep, roll over, with a smile on your face, ready to check your Amazon app to revel in your newfound success, and –
You don’t have the buy box on your OWN product!
Instead, a seller with a name, you can’t even pronounce, is on your listing and selling your product for a fraction its price.
Yeah. That’s the horror of an Amazon hijacker and dealing with them is nasty business (seriously Google it!).
Luckily Feedbackwhiz provides you a solution with 24/7 monitoring of your products and notifications as soon as anything goes wrong – including hijackers on your listing.
It also tracks when your product title changes, when you get a new review, when you lose the buy box or whenever someone logs into your account.
All this gives you peace of mind knowing that everything is running as it should in your Amazon business.
How Much Will Feedbackwhiz Cost Me?
The best things in life are free and this applies to Feedbackwhiz too!
Pricing starts at $0 but with limits like only being able to have one email campaign and send 150 email requests per month.
This is pretty limiting but it’s enough to allow you to dip your toes in and test the waters.
You can upgrade all the way up to their Ultimate Plan where you’ll pay $139 per month and enjoy top-notch bells and whistles, like unlimited email campaigns and a dedicated campaign manager.
You can also opt for their “Profits and Accounting Plan” which starts at $19.99 at the starter tier and rises to $99 a month on the professional tier.
This plan gives you access the financial tools we mentioned above – but at the expense of the promotional tools like email marketing campaigns.
Okay so now you’re an expert in all things Feedbackwhiz, let’s move onto Jumpsend next!
What is Jumpsend?
Amazon is a huge place.
With over 9.7 million sellers, they easily take the crown for the world’s largest ecommerce retailer – it’s not even close!
I mean, in Q1 of 2021 alone, 283,000 new sellers joined the platform.
What this means for you as an Amazon seller is it can be overwhelming and hard to stand out from the crowd (you can say that again, right!?)
Jumpsend is simply an Amazon tool that allows sellers to drown out the noise and get their products seen by the millions of customers who visit Amazon every month.
Fun Fact: Some of you eagle-eyed readers may have seen that Jumpsend is owned by Jungle Scout (it’s in the grey strip in the picture above if you’re as blind as I am!)
This is 100% fact.
Jungle Scout acquired the platform and use it as their go-to launch service to help sellers gain more visibility on Amazon.
They actually rebranded it as “Launch” too but the name Jumpsend has stuck in the Amazon community
So, in case anyone asks, Jumpsend = Launch and Launch = Jumpsend.
Let’s move on!
How Does JumpSend Work?
Most people know that Jumpsend can increase your sales as an Amazon seller, but very few know how it does this.
It’s simple really.
It increases the organic rank of your product…
Here’s how it goes:
The higher your organic rank, the more visibility you get.
The more visibility you get, the more sales and revenue you get.
Jumpsend is able to send thousands of eyeballs to your brand-new listing thanks to their 100,000 strong, ready and willing army of active shoppers on their platform.
“At 100,000 active shoppers, isn’t Jumpsend just a microcosm of Amazon who have millions of active shoppers on their platform every month?” …
“Why would my product magically stand out on Jumpsend, when it doesn’t even stand out on Amazon?”
You’re full of them today, aren’t you!? 🙂
The secret ingredient is – deals, deals, deals!
Yes, I had to say it thrice because deals are literally what Jumpsend is all about…
They amassed their 100,000-strong army of active shoppers by enticing them to get the best deals possible on the latest products.
In essence, Jumpsend is an Amazon Deal Site and here’s a quick breakdown on how Amazon Deal sites work:
Amazon seller wants to increase their product rank.
Active shopper wants the best deal.
Amazon seller offers their product at a discount.
Active shopper is very happy with the deal and buys the product.
Amazon seller’s product receives a ranking bump on Amazon which makes them even more revenue in the long term (remember, the more visible your product is on Amazon, the better you sell).
There’s many Amazon deal sites out there doing this.
One of my favourites is Samurai Social.
Like Jumpsend, it allows you to increase the rank of your product on Amazon through deals.
The game-changing difference though is it doesn’t link you up with active shoppers to do this.
It takes things a step further by pairing you up with micro-influencers instead.
What the hell’s a micro-influencer!?
Simply put, they’re a person who has a sizeable, but not too large, social following – think 100k subscribers or less.
These people haven’t got the millions of followers of a Kardashian, sure, but their audience is big enough that you’d notice a difference in your product sales if you got in front of them.
The beauty of Samurai Social is it aggregates a list of these micro-influencers that you can reach out to.
So, you guessed it…
100,000 x 10 micro-influencers = 1 million eyeballs on your product!
It’s easy to reach out to these micro-influencers to get them to promote your product to give it the momentum you need at launch.
And what’s more, Samurai Social encourages their influencers to review your product.
And if you know anything about influencers, you know they’re EXCELELNT at making content and reviews.
So not only does your product get a boost on Amazon from the influencer, but you also get some great content from them that you can use in your marketing.
Pretty neat huh?
You can check them out here:
Anyway, back to Jumpsend.
Let’s talk about their email campaigns next!
Build your Brand with Jumpsend Email Campaigns
Like Feedbackwhiz, Jumpsend also gives you the ability to run email campaigns to your customers.
And what’s great about this is, also like Feedbackwhiz, you can send these emails out based on the real-time actions that your customers are taking:
Your customer just purchased your product – you can send them an email.
Your customer just got their item delivered – you can send them an email.
Your customer left you a review – you can send them an email.
You can send an email for almost every real-time action that your Amazon customer will take.
And you also needn’t be an email marketing expert to make this work.
Jumpsend comes with a prepacked slew of handy email templates that you can use to quickly get started.
It really is as simple as choosing your template, making a few edits, and sending it out.
All this is done in a few swipes and button clicks – pretty neat!
One thing I will mention though is Jumpsend’s email setup is very centred around getting customer reviews.
While you can use it beyond this, the real-time actions we discussed before are pretty useless beyond this point.
Unlike Feedbackwhiz, there’s no way to reengage returning customers or anything of the sort.
This isn’t a bad thing per say but if you were looking for an email service provider to, say, maintain your brand image, then you might need to look elsewhere.
And since you’re here I’ll offer you a quick word of warning.
Amazon have since become very stringent on emails around asking for a review.
You need to make sure you use compliant messaging and are not trying to divert negative reviews away from your listing.
I’ve heard horror stories of people getting their accounts shut down over this so be safe out there!
How Much Does Jumpsend Cost
Being a feature of Jungle Scout, Jumpsend’s pricing is based on the number of orders you record on your Jungle Scout account.
As a rule of thumb:
0 – 500 orders – $49 per month
501 – 2,000 orders – $69 per month
2,001 – 5,000 orders – $99 per month
5,001 – 10,000 orders – $199 per month
10,000 + orders – $399 per month
Verdict: Which One is Best for You?
Congratulations for making it to the end – did you notice something very strange?
Although this article was titled Jumpsend vs Feedbackwhiz, there wasn’t much comparison between the two, right?
“Hmmm you’re right, what gives?”
Well, although they’re both Amazon tools, Jumpsend and Feedbackwhiz are very different.
Jumpsend is mainly a promotion and launching service, while Feedbackwhiz is an analytics and account monitoring service.
The only real thing they have in common is their ability to send emails to customers based on their real-time actions.
But even here, there’s a huge difference.
Jumpsend’s emails are geared towards the initial launch of your product, while Feedbackwhiz’s emails are geared towards the day-to-day management of your Seller Central account.
A comparison between the two is comparing apples to oranges.
While I’m a fan of both apples and oranges, comparing the two isn’t fair – Jumpsend and Feedbackwhiz have their own unique use cases.
Use Jumpsend if you want to launch or re-rank your existing product to page 1 to increase your sales and revenue.
Use Feedbackwhiz if you’re looking for a long-term solution that’ll help you manage your Seller Central account better to improve your overall performance as a seller.
Here’s a wild idea though …
Why don’t you use both?
Use Jumpsend to launch your product to page 1, then use Feedbackwhiz to keep you there once you’re successful…
What you ultimately.do should depend on your goals and where you’re currently at in your Amazon seller journey.
At the end of the day, an Amazon tool is only as good as the product it pushes – so make sure that yours is the best on the market.
You’ve got this! 🙂
